Beauty in Numbers - Carnation Centerpieces
When I think of carnations the first thing that comes to mind is cheap, tacky supermarket bouquets. However, in this DIY, beauty is in numbers. Carnations in their purest white are miss understood, with this tutorial, I am now convinced that carnations can blow bouquets out of the water! The trick is all in the numbers. When they are single they look lonely, but grouped they are spectacular.

What You’ll Need:
Candlestick
Oasis floral foam sphere
Lots and lots of Carnations

Directions:
1. To begin, you first need a candlestick. This will be what the entire bouquet ball sits on. (see figure 2) You will also need lots of carnations. The more the merrier!

2. Top the candlestick off with a Oasis floral foam sphere, soaking it for 45 minutes, then drain on a paper towel. (see figure 3)

3. You know the drill... Make sure to work the carnations evenly around the foam sphere to distribute the weight. (see figure 4)

4. Continue adding more carnations until the entire sphere is covered. (see figure 5)

Voila! The center piece is created. How great do carnations look grouped together? You could even used the colors carnations or color your own white ones to match your wedding colors simply with food coloring.

So, the next time you are shopping for flowers, be kind to carnations, because there is beauty in numbers!
